The Back 2 School season is in full swing and we're getting ongoing requests for background on all kinds of things. Questions range from what is rPET polyester, to how do you make bags out of bottles, to why is Neogreene non-toxic and on and on.
Both Debbie and I wind up fielding many of these inquiries as we teach more people the answers and responses that go with the different questions. In the meantime, we've got a very refreshed website now. We've got a totally refreshed product line with colors and styles that continue to get accolades.
GreenSmart is now available online with Apple in Europe. We have distribution starting up in Australia, in the Middle East and inquiries from France, South Africa and the south Pacific. It's all very positive.
Through all of this, what we've come to appreciate is that our Company's commitment to green is a wonderful setting in which to operate a business, but, in the end, GreenSmart will only achieve results if we sell bags. As our products continue to rollout to college campuses, (thank you the the Universities of Nevada, Reno; Western Michigan, Virginia Tech, Hawaii, Utah and all the others) only if the bags are exciting and priced right will the college students buy them. The same is true of our laptop sleeves and everything else - make it attractive, useful and priced right and it will sell. And, only when it sells will GreenSmart be able to continue to do all the things we do.
But, the commitment story is what people want to hear. Yes, we have all new products; all with incredibly well designed features, materials and usefulness. And while this is all going on, we're diligently working at getting even stronger. The "other guys" aren't sitting around. I hope they all completely overhaul their entire companies and use exclusively eco-friendly materials and dedicate their entire company to a socially responsible ethic. The world would be much the better for it. Since they have not, we will continue to trailblaze our commitment and continue to work to provide products that meet and exceed people's expectations, without compromise.
