Well, I've been off the blog for a spell. However, I have results to show for it. NEW PRODUCTS. Our website now has our latest creations for laptop sleeves. Two incredible product styles created from an unbelievable effort between our friends in China and concepts of our designer Tom Lukens. We have pushed the envelope in actual design. What does that actually mean, you ask?
You can't stand still in life and make progress. In order for GreenSmart to be exciting, we need to go out there and try new techniques, new practices, new designs, for laptop (or tablet) sleeves or else a sleeve simply remains a boring padded envelope. We think consumers seek style more than ever. GreenSmart wants to be part of that consumer enthusiasm for design.
You're likely not a designer or product developer, so let me take you on a tour of just how unique and special these products are; still just as eco-conscious as before, made from non-toxic neogreene with fuzzy liners made from plastic bottles.
Let's take the Gharial. Two years ago, GreenSmart began molding on the walls of laptop sleeves. There are almost no molded laptop sleeves still and were none at the time. The Gharial has molded ribs that help your hand slide underneath a perfectly positioned strap to create a secure clutch carrying method. The little concave portion at the bottom helps the laptop stay centered in your hand. The strap is stitched on both sides to the middle into its own molded channel and then positioned to perfection with the bar tack reinforcing the gap across the middle span (where your hand goes). It's a great design and it's brilliantly executed. The best part is that the front and back are identical. Twice the work.
This may not seam like a big deal, but the benefit of having the strap, the ribs to guide your hand, the concave bottom, those are tremendous conveniences for the user.
But wait, there's more. The Hirola.
This gem is amazing. Now we've taken molding learned from previous GreenSmart sleeves and added the concept of "stitched in" panels, which we first brought to market in our Akepa design. However, the Akepa only taught us it could be done. Now, with Tom's vision, we've done it all over the product. On top of molding the logo into the middle of the face, each of the 4 grab points have molded grooves and edges. These grooves and edges create a textural reference point for carrying and a finished look that is both refined and cool (both sides are identical on these, too.) We chose to include our two way access feature (another benefit unique to GreenSmart) and voila, the Hirola.
We are all truly excited to be bringing these very progressive designs to market. Peopl always ask me, "what makes this Green". They never ask "what makes this smart. This is what makes GreenSmart SMART. Use eco-conscious materials and make really cool designs that do the job needed beyond the other items in the market. I hope you like them and recommend them to all your friends.
P.S. They come in more colors and sizes than shown here; www.GreenSmart.biz
